I was going to attempt to write a thorough profile of Garuda tents, because they caused the outdoor industry to go into apoplexy. All of a sudden every
brand that was remotely into tents seem to be putting out a single wall, waterproof breathable tent. Or two. Such was the influence that Garuda had in its
short life.
But I don't need to write a profile. In the course of checking my facts on Garuda, I discovered that the company's founder and driving force, Byron
Schultz, had done the work for me. Bryon has put up his own website as a homage to the six to eight years he was at the helm of this innovative Made-
in-America tent manufacturer.
